Great News and so much more!

I received some really great news today!  It has been three months since my miscarriage and molar pregnancy diagnosis.  As of yesterday my HCG levels are at 0!  The GTD cancer that can occur after molar pregnancies will most likely develop within the first three months post-pregnancy.  Since my HCG levels are at 0 after three months the likelihood of developing the cancer at this point is much smaller!  What a huge blessing.  I still have to have my levels tested every three months until July on the off chance that the cancer still develops but as of right now I am "cautiously" very optimistic.  This is a huge answer to prayers!  Some days are still difficult and sad but for the most part I am doing much better emotionally as well.  Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and praying for me.  I couldn't have made it through such a difficult time with out all of you!
In other news....
I have accepted the job of Student Council Director at the middle school.  It has been a lot of work so far picking students to be on student council, getting fundraisers and events planned, more meetings planned as well as actually doing the fundraisers, events and meetings.  I also made a Facebook page for the student council in order to remind the students of events as well as give other students in the school a chance to voice their ideas.  I am excited about that and I hope the students participate.  We do lots of different things to raise money for different organizations/families around the district.   Some things we have planned so far are staff blue jean days...staff pays 2 dollars to wear their jeans on a non-Friday and doughnut day every two weeks.  One student suggested doing camouflage day where the students pay a dollar to wear camo and all the proceeds go to Wounded Warrior, so we will be doing that on Veteran's Day as well as allowing students to bring a picture of family members in the armed forces for a dollar and they will be displayed in the school during Veteran's Day week.  All those proceeds will go to Wounded Warrior as well.  We do spirit weeks, food drives, adopt a family, toys for tots and all sorts of things.  I am very excited about this, not only to be helping out the school and district but also getting to know some students outside of the few in my classroom.  It will be a busy but fun year!
Logan has been busy with sports.  He is so into football right now.  He brings his football to school every day to play with at the bus stop and at recess.  He finished 2nd in the Punt, Pass, Kick competition for his age group and he can't wait until next year when he can start rocket football.  Fall soccer is almost over he has one game left.  It has been a great six weeks for soccer!  The weather has been nice and Logan is the oldest on his team which gave him a chance to be a leader and he did a great job at that!  He is loving second grade...although he did say once that it is too easy:)  Smarty pants.  Bible club starts back up for him in a few weeks and he is very excited about that!

Gavin has been learning his alphabet at daycare.  Our daycare provider purchased zoo phonics and is using it with the kids, as well as doing other fun activities each week. Every Monday Gavin has to wear a certain color and last week he was kid of the day so he got to bring show and tell.  He is having a great time at daycare this year!  We are also trying to train him to stay in bed in the morning.  He has a stop light clock that is red all night and turns green when it is ok to get up.  He waits until it is green almost every morning:)  And when he does he comes out with a giant smile on his face and says "Green means get up come see!" and takes my hand to show me it is green:)  He loves playing football in the back yard with Logan.  And he has been riding his big wheel on our family walks each night...its pretty funny to watch...and I wonder how he has all that energy!

Scott is busy as always at Hopkins.  He has also been going to several sporting events for the school as well as doing concession stands for the boosters.  He is taking a School Law class right now for his masters degree.  In a few weeks he and his dad, brother and uncle are going to a Lions game so he is very excited about that!  And of course there is fantasy football going on.  Nothing but football on in this house on Sundays LOL.
Gigi got a job working at Robinettes which she loves.  Dan is in the process of selling his house and buying a new one.  He and Lysa are getting married on Easter next year!  They chose Easter because it is a new beginning for them as a married couple and Easter is all about new beginnings so it is a perfect day:)  My sister in law turned 40 and Brian threw a very successful surprise party!  And my nieces turned 13!!!  Time flys!   Brenda and Brandon had their baby girl.  Clara Joy.  She is a cutie and a snuggler:)   Emily and Nate are expecting their little one in the beginning of November...in the mean time they bought a house and are moving in as fast as possible!  So that is exciting for them!  Molly's husband Jeremy got a great new job so that is very exciting for them!  A lot of good news all around...now we just need to keep our fingers crossed for an NHL season to happen!
I think that is all for now....we have been very blessed so far this fall.
