All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

Logan lost his first two teeth the other night!  He even let me pull them out and didn't shed a tear!  He wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking if he could keep his teeth because he wanted to take them to school to show his teacher so he could become a part of the tooth club:)  Of course the tooth fairy couldn't deny him that!

Gingerbread houses/Nordstrom Party

Grandma decided it would be fun to have all the kids over to make gingerbread houses...they all turned out great!  And all had sugar highs haha.

We went to the annual Nordstrom family Christmas party today.  We had a lot of fun!  It is always fun to see family and get together during the holidays.  We also did the traditional ornament exchange(war).  It was pretty tame this year!  We are going to have to up things next year!

Bloom Reunion

Yet another Bloom reunion has come and passed.  There were a lot of people there this year!  Logan sang Santa Claus is Coming to Town for his performance.....and Gavin stared Logan down during the song for his performance haha.  Gavin got a book from Santa and Logan got a Harry Potter Lego toy.  As always the food was awesome and it was nice to see the family again!

Trash the Dress/Thanksgiving/Stockwell Update

My sister is an upcoming photographer and she is amazing!  She does portraits, senior photos, family photos, kids photos, trash the dress, company functions, weddings and pretty much whatever you might want to take pictures of!  Her website is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christine-Elyce-Photography/196003370454186 or http://christineelycephotography.blogspot.com/.  Check it out and give her a call!  We thought it would be fun to do a trash the dress session.  So are here are a few of the photos from that day.

A little update on what has been going on in our family.  Logan recently joined Bible club.  So he meets with a group after school once a week to learn about the bible, bible versus, etc.  Right now they are studying the book of Acts.  He really enjoys it!  We are anxiously awaiting the winter sports brochure to come out so he can sign up for another sport...he is leaning towards giving basketball a try!  Hopefully they have that option!
Scott continues to be busy with work, but he is loving it!  He is even mentoring a few kids after school.  Hunting season was a success this year he got a 5 point.  I am not a fan of venison at all but so far the jerky and the sausage have been really good!  Hopefully the burger and steaks will be just as good:)
Gavin is talking more and more...and talking back more and more hahaha.  It is actually really funny.  He has a lot of personality:)  Every morning when I got into his room he looks at me and says "mommy!  yeah!"  Melts my heart every time:)  We are working on counting, colors and shapes.  And he knows that he is two.  And he loves to dance with me in the kitchen!  He shakes his booty!!
A big new development in the Stockwell family...I'm getting a new brother!  Kyle and Dean got engaged on 11.17.11.  Dean is an amazing guy and he makes my brother so happy!  We are lucky to welcome him into our family!

Thanksgiving was great this year.  It was very relaxing.  Then of course there was the black Friday shopping which for us was at toys r us and they opened at 9 pm on Thanksgiving.  So we were done and in the hot tub by 11:30!  It was nice:)  We tried to go to Walmart about a half hour after it opened...never again!  The lines were at least two hours long.  They even still had the deal we wanted but we walked out haha!
We have our Christmas tree, decorations and lights all up.  This is going to be a very busy but a very fun Christmas season!  Kevin and Amy will be coming to visit and I will get to meet my little nephew Jack.  And Kyle and Dean will be home.  I can't wait to see my family!

Up north fall edition

We had another great "fall edition" this year...although we missed the Baars and the Pippins.  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  We packed as much in as we could!  We went hiking, wine tasting, out to dinner in Traverse City, shopping and I even learned how to shoot a shot gun:)  It was a perfect little weekend getaway!

Halloween 2011

Halloween seemed to fly by this year!  We had a lot of fun though.  Carving pumpkins, watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Halloween parties and trick or treating!  Logan carved his own pumpkin this year!  Gavin wasn't too thrilled about all the goop haha.  Logan was out for two hours with the cousins trick or treating...he got a lot of candy!  And Gavin hit a few houses before we went back and he handed out candy...he loved it!  He kept repeating "just one!"  after each person left because the first time he went to give out candy he had a whole handful...haha.  Scott and I went to a costume party at the Pippin's.  I was Aphrodite and he was "afro"dite haha.
